You’re totally right, Dana, a pipette on its own isn’t strong enough to fix a heavy flea infestation, it works more as a preventive once things are under control.
In case of a flea infestation like the one you mentioned, the best way is to start with a Frontline or Effipro spray (both very effective). The spray is applied based on your pet’s weight and needs to stay on for at least 48 hours so it kills off the live fleas and ticks.
After that, we recommend bathing your pet with a tick & flea shampoo to soothe the skin and wash away the dead parasites. Then, use a flea comb to make sure you remove the remaining eggs and dead fleas stuck in the coat.
Once the coat and skin are fully dry again (usually about 2-3 days), you can apply the pipette treatment. At this stage, the pipette will act as a protective shield and help keep fleas and ticks away in the long run
