FAQ

Why do I need to treat my home as well as my dog?

Up to 95% of a flea infestation exists in the home environment as eggs, larvae, and pupae living in carpets, furniture, bedding, and floor cracks rather than on your pet. Treating your dog alone without addressing the home will not fully resolve an active infestation as newly hatched fleas from the environment will continuously reinfest your dog. Always treat both your pet and your home simultaneously for the most effective results.

How do I use an indoor flea spray correctly?

Remove pets and people from the area before spraying. Vacuum carpets and floors thoroughly first to stimulate flea pupae to hatch and make them more vulnerable to treatment. Apply the spray evenly to all carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, skirting boards, and pet bedding paying particular attention to areas where your pet spends the most time. Allow the treated surfaces to dry completely before allowing pets and people back into the area and ventilate the room well during and after application.

How long does it take for an indoor flea treatment to work?

Most indoor sprays begin killing adult fleas on contact and continue working on eggs and larvae over the following days. However complete resolution of an active infestation can take several weeks as pupae in their protective cocoons are highly resistant to most treatments and will continue hatching over time. Repeat vacuuming and a second application may be needed for heavy infestations.
